ODI Services OFFERS:
Basic literacy instruction is available for adults in reading, writing, and math. Adult learners are paired with a tutor or are enrolled in small groups to improve their skills. Learners at all levels are welcome, from those who would like to acquire basic literacy skills to those preparing for standard examination.
ENGLISH as a SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)*
ODI-Services offer ESL programs at all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. One-on-one tutoring is available for ESL learners, as well as small groups. Classes in U.S. Civics for ESL learners also are available.
Adults who have not attained a high school diploma can study for the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) tests, through small-group or one on one instruction.
*Services are for minimal free. Students must first register for assessment and orientation.
ODI shall facilitate all its services with computer aided training (CAT) assistance. Student undergoing training at ODI may qualify for a refurbished computer at a minimum cost depending on sponsorship supports.
ODI C.A.T. Program
ODI Services offer Basic Technology training to individuals who need such skills for continue education, job application filing and how to effectively utilize a computer and the internet to enrich their lives in this millennium age for a sustainable living.
VOLUNTEER TO TUTOR!
Tutors are needed for reading, math, English as a Second Language (ESL) and basic technology. Training is required and offered by the Office of Adult Education of Philadelphia (OAE).
